Robert has been appointed as a member of the NSW Department of Education Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel and the Student Mediation Scheme
The NSW Department of Education Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel was set up by the Department in partnership with the Resolution Institute to provide ADR services to parents, carers, students, the community and educators involved in complaints and aims to:
create a student first focus when facilitating complaint outcomes
restore respectful relationships between parents/carers (or community) and school
provide a clear alternative pathway where a complaint has become intractable, but a resolution is still sought and there is a need to restore the relationship between the family and the school
provide an external and independent service for resolution of disputes
provide a way forward for intractable complaints or other complex matters that have not achieved resolution through the school complaints process
provide coaching support to Principals with complex disputes or community-based conflict.
